The Denver Foundation's Inclusiveness Project

The Denver Foundation

View Website

While the Denver Foundation values all forms of inclusiveness, the Inclusiveness Project is charged with engaging metropolitan Denver nonprofit organizations, including funders, specifically to become more inclusive of people of color. To that end, it works at the sector-wide level to promote the value of inclusiveness and diversity -- at the organizational level, to give organizations the tools and support they need to build inclusiveness -- and at the individual level, working to increase the pipeline of people of color joining nonprofits as board members, staff, volunteers and donors.

The Inclusiveness Project offers a variety of "doorways" to inclusiveness including availability of resource guides and research findings; a narrative approach featuring stories, lessons learned and best practices; a database of consultants and technical assistance; opportunities to network and engage with other like-minded organizations through the Inclusiveness Collaborative, and a directory of relevant events, funding opportunities and workshops.
